Exotics IT program mobilization
The Problem
A previous Mosaic engagement had established a front-to-back operating
model for the exotic derivatives business of a major investment bank. Having
received funding for implementing this operating model, the client required
further senior IT resources to help mobilize several related change programs.
Mosaic Response
We deployed a small team of consultants that had experience with
the client to define, plan and mobilize a series of projects. The objective
was to get the projects to the appropriate level of structure and governance
before stepping aside to allow internal project managers to run the project
to completion.
Value Delivered
Mosaic consultants operated for a month as integrated members of
the client’s management team, helping to establish the necessary projects.
In addition to the program-management aspects of the projects, our consultants
assisted with resource planning and the coaching of promising, but inexperienced,
junior project managers to ensure they had the necessary skills to complete
the projects.
