Big Data Platform Assessment
Our client wanted to assess whether their big-data and analytics platform was designed and implemented optimally. The Mosaic team conducted a full-review with interviews with technologists, architects and data scientists across the organization and conducted detailed assessments of some technology components forming part of the platform. A number of recommendations were made to improve platform design, robustness and scalability and these were then built into an investment plan which was implemented in the following investment cycle.
Retail Data Warehouse Strategy
Mosaic consultants designed a future state model for a central transaction data warehouse with detailed requirements for a data landing zone, operational data store and data reporting areas. The project also produced a proposed governance model for data acquisition, cleansing and access.
Operational Risk Data Model
In response to a request from the head of an Operational Risk team, Mosaic deployed a specialist data architect and a technology strategist to develop an integrated architecture and governance model for managing operational risk data across a universal bank.
Risk Data Architecture
A Mosaic team worked across Architecture, Solution Design and Implementation functions to address compliance with Basel’s Principles for Effective Risk Data Aggregation and Risk Reporting (“BCBS-239”) standards. The project encompassed the architecture, design and delivery of significant changes to the Risk data and technology architecture using self-governing Agile delivery teams.
